Bacoban® establishes a very thin film (1) with a lasting effect on the surface (2). The technology for this is the sol-gel process, which forms a solid gel phase by means of a liquid sol state. The biocides used to kill germs are stored in the porosity of the sol-gel sponge that forms and are leached out on contact with water (bacteria, enveloped viruses, fungi always carry a water shell with them).
